Imagine growing up in a world where words are a mystery, where books hold secrets you can’t unlock, and where opportunities slip away because you can’t read or write. For many children and teens in Rosarito, Baja Mexico, this isn’t just a struggle—it’s reality.
Poverty forces many children to stay home instead of attending school. They may need to help a single parent provide for their family, care for younger siblings, or learn to survive without access to basic necessities - even food scarcity.
Without an education, their futures are bleak, trapped in a cycle of illiteracy and hardship with no way out. But we refuse to accept that.
We Are Building More Than A School
At Beat The Cycle, we are building more than a school—we are building hope. Our facility will provide these children with the nutrition they need to focus on the education they are missing to learn to read and write, and the belief that they are capable of so much more. Every child deserves the right to learn, grow, and dream of a future beyond survival or worrying about when their next meal is coming from.
For older kids—pre-teens and teens who have never attended school or only went for a short time—we will offer reading and writing skills plus vocational training to help them break free from the cycle of poverty.
With skills and training, they will see new possibilities for their future. They will no longer be forgotten or left behind. Instead, they will tap into their natural talents and discover their potential. Who knows? The next great chef, artist, or entrepreneur could be among them, waiting for the chance to shine.
