Lic. Sol Carrola Villegas

Our Co-Founder and Visionary. Sol has the education, gift, and commitment to reach children at the deepest level.

Sol Carolla has dedicated her career to education. For the past eight years, she has worked with autistic, illiterate, and malnourished children, offering them not just academic support, encouragement, and nourishment but hope.

Sol and her husband, Victor Bravo, sold their comfortable home and moved from Tijuana into a poor neighborhood in Rosarito Beach because they believed with all their hearts they must fully immersing themselves in the community they serve.

Victor, started his own business and is a hardworking landscaper, tirelessly supports their family so that Sol can devote herself to the children who need her most.

Sol’s unwavering dedication is deeply rooted in her personal calling to serve others. She finds strength and purpose in her faith, which inspires her commitment to lifting children out of despair and into a future filled with opportunity. While Beat The Cycle is a secular organization, we recognize that Sol’s work is guided by a profound sense of implementing God's mission for her—one that has transformed the lives of countless children.

The current classroom for all children and sensory room where Sol teaches were built through donations to provide a safe, nurturing and teaching space for autistic children. The small classroom, which is rapidly being outgrown, is a place where children are nourished physically, mentally and emotionally and find out they are more than their circumstances. As one child said, " I am not stupid, I was just hungry."

Next door, a small church stands as a separate but significant part of the community, where Victor serves as pastor. Here the small community kitchen serves nutritious meals to children that would otherwise go to school hungry.

Victor's role in the church is distinct from Sol’s work in education, but together, they embody the spirit of service, resilience, and hope that continues to change lives.

Sol's Vision

Sol's vision for Beat The Cycle is to create a transformative facility where every child has the opportunity to unlock a brighter future. She envisions a vibrant, state-of-the-art center that seamlessly blends educational excellence with vocational training, ensuring that children not only receive academic support but also develop practical skills for life.

This facility is designed to be a sanctuary—a nurturing environment that breaks the cycle of limitations and transforms potential into reality. This is a vision we hope to replicate throughout Mexico.

At its core, the vision is about holistic development. The facility will offer a rich curriculum that goes beyond traditional academics, integrating emotional well-being, self-esteem building, and life skills. Through specialized programs addressing areas such as autism, literacy, nourishment, after-school enrichment, and counseling, the center aims to create a well-rounded educational experience that empowers every child.

In addition to academic and personal growth, Sol Carrola's vision emphasizes vocational training as a critical component for long-term success. By incorporating hands-on learning, mentorship, and real-world skill-building, the facility will prepare children for meaningful careers—opening pathways that might otherwise remain closed. The goal is to foster independence, responsibility, and a commitment to uplifting not only themselves but also their communities.

Ultimately, this vision is a call to action: a commitment to invest in our future by nurturing the talents, dreams, and potential of every child. With unwavering dedication, the facility is set to become a beacon of hope and opportunity—an enduring testament to the belief that when children are supported holistically, they can break free from the cycle of poverty and adversity to achieve greatness - each in their own way.
